Attracting academics based in Australia, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Pakistan and South Africa, the 1st Global Conference on The Value of Knowledge, the basis for this book, both in terms of the participants it magnetized and the subject matters put forward had a truly international sense. Incorporating people and papers on subjects not traditionally placed together into such a forum the conference provided an invaluable chance to learn, reflect and engage in reciprocal dialogue on the plethora of structures and practices underwriting education, learning and knowledge. In this eBook many of the papers presented at the 1st Global Conference on The Value of Knowledge in Sydney are offered in so doing providing a window into the forum, with papers given in this manuscript being more or less similar to those given by the presenters themselves in Australia. As shall be apparent to the reader, the value of the corpus of literature not only lies in the strength of the individual papers but additionally in the collective employment of multi-disciplinary approaches granted to the allied topics of knowledge and education put forward by the authors.
